6th Grade General Music -

Currently working on loop-based compositions with Sony Acid Xpress.  Many students have expressed interest in owning this FREE program at home.  It is available as a free download here.

Acid Xpress is the PC version that is comparable to Apple's Garageband.  Acid Xpress required you to find your own loops though.  While there are many sites out there that you can purchase loops from, there are also many that you can find them at for free.  It just means that you need to do some searching for them.  A great site to start with to find some loops would be :

Also, any .wav or .mp3 file can be used with Acid Xpress.

In the coming weeks, I hope to get up some samples of student work from the first class to attempt this cool project!
